Faf Du Plessis (CSK) – 449 runs

In a season where the entire CSK batting line-up struggled to get runs, Du Plessis played a lone battle with the bat. He scored 449 runs from 13 games. He hit four fifties in the process, with a highest of 87*. He formed a good partnership with Shane Watson up at the top in the first half.

In the second phase, one among Watson or Faf played the games, to give the other players in the team a chance. CSK ended the season at the seventh position in the points table with six wins.
