Cheteshwar Pujara is the reason why Josh Hazelwood is not coming for IPL 2021 declares fans on Twitter. Hazlewood will not feature in the upcoming IPL 2021 season due to the bio-bubble fatigue and as he wants to keep himself fresh for the upcoming international tours of Australia. Fans on Twitter were extremely excited to see Hazelwood and Cheteshwar Pujara play for CSK after the franchise acquired the Indian Test specialist in the auction. The rivalry between Pujara and Hazelwood is well documented as the Indian batsman has always frustrated Hazelwood with his ability to defend balls and tire down the opposition all day long.

Josh Hazelwood didn’t want to bowl at Cheteshwar Pujara in the nets

After Hazelwood announced that he will not be coming for IPL 2021, fans on Twitter assume that this has something to do with Pujara. Twitteratis posted some hilarious memes and tweets in which many hinted that Hazelwood probably has had enough of Pujara and didn’t want to bowl at him in the nets against while playing for CSK. Even though Hazelwood has dismissed Pujara in the past but he has always maintained that he is probably the hardest batsman to dismiss in international cricket.

Cheteshwar Pujara was a nightmare for Hazelwood in the 2018-19 Test series when he smashed close to 600 runs and helped India clinch the series Down Under by 2-1. Meanwhile, Hazelwood made it very clear that because of the hectic international schedule of Australia and the bio-bubble he has opted not to play in IPL 2021.

“It’s been a long 10 months in bubbles and quarantine at different times, so I decided to have a rest from cricket and spend some time at home and in Australia in the next two months. We’ve got a big winter ahead too. Then potentially the T20 World Cup leading into the Ashes, so it`s a big 12 months, as it always is with Australia, and I want to give myself the best chance to be mentally and physically ready for that. That`s the decision I`ve made, and it sits pretty well with me”, cricket.com.au quoted Hazlewood as saying.
