Rahul Chahar took a fine juggling catch as Mumbai Indians cruised through to the finals of IPL 2020 beating Delhi Capitals by 57 runs in Dubai. Meanwhile, Chahar’s comical catch soon turned out to be a topic of discussion on social media as fans turned up with hilarious memes on microblogging site Twitter.
Meanwhile, batting first, Quinton de Kock and Suryakumar Yadav’s flurry start set the tone for Mumbai Indians in the Qualifier 1. Despite losing skipper Rohit Sharma, they kept up the tempo keeping Delhi Capitals bowlers at bay. However, they bounced back scalping three wickets in quick time but Hardik Pandya and Ishan Kishan’s late flourish guided Mumbai to 200.

While it looked like a difficult run chase, the first two overs in the second half put Delhi out of the race. They were reduced none for three thanks to a brilliant display of fast bowling from Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah. They tried to fight back courtesy Marcus Stoinis and Axar Patel but Bumrah’s tally of four wickets pushed Shreyas Iyer & Co completely out of the game.

It was the juggling catch from Rahul Chahal to dismiss Axar Patel which was the final nail in the coffin for Delhi Capitals. Axar toe-ended the big hit to this slower delivery, Chahar, who was positioned at deep mid-wicket ran to his right and tried to take it on the run. However, it poppled out and then he juggled thrice to complete the catch.
Meanwhile, soon after the catch, Mumbai Indians asked the fans to describe the catch from Rahul Chahar on their official social media handle. Fans were quick to react and they came up with hilarious reactions as the catch became an overnight sensation.
