The final of the Under 19 World Cup will take place at Mount Maunganui tomorrow 6:30 IST. India faces Australia in this epic clash and this high-intensity match has already created a buzz among the cricketing fans across the world.

India emerged victorious in all the matches in the tournament.  Valuable contributions from the top order with the likes of Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill played a vital role in making India reach the finals of the tournament. India started the tournament by defeating Australia by 100 runs and consecutive victories against Papua New Guinea, Zimbabwe, Bangladesh, and Pakistan by a huge margin made them reach this destination.

Indian pace battery comprising of Ishan porel, Mavi and Nagarkoti not to forget unplayable deliveries from spinner Anukul Roy helped India to pick 50 wickets in all the five matches played. This pace trio is set to create an impact in the pace-friendly conditions in NZ.

Australia

On the other hand, Australia who lost their first match against India won the remaining matches thanks to their ace spinner Lloyd pope who took a record 8-wicket haul against England which made their hindrances clear for finals. The top order comprising of hard-hitting Mcsweeney and skipper Jason Sangha will be the players to watch out for the kangaroos.  Their wins against  PNG, England, and Afghanistan in the semifinals proved the quality of the team composition.

The wall”s mentorship- A Lucky Charm?

This is the second time Dravid mentored team reaching the finals of the tournament.  Last time Indian team led by Ishan Kishan lost to West Indies. It might be noted that West Indies had a memorable 2016 in all the formats of ICC tournaments  (U19, men”s and women”s T20).

India will be looking forward to grabbing their 4th title and this match is expected to be witnessed by millions around the world.  It is to be noted that the recent performances from the young squad have bagged them the IPL contracts from the franchisees and if won this will be a memorable year for the entire squad.
