Ravindra Jadeja was ruled out of the last two T20Is vs Australia after picking up a hamstring injury while batting in the first game. He scored an unbeaten 44 to help India post a total of 161 which was later defended by the bowlers. Jadeja was replaced by Yuzvendra Chahal as a concussion substitute in the second innings. He delivered a match-winning spell of 3 for 24 to help India win the game.
Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer Mohammed Kaif has said that India will miss the services of Jadeja in the last two games. Kaif further added that Jadeja has been grossly underrated even after playing for the country for 11 years. The left-arm all-rounder made his debut for India in 2009 and has been a constant member of the Indian outfit since then.
Ravindra Jadeja is Grossly Underrated: Mohammed Kaif
“For two successive games Ravindra Jadeja showed why he is of so much value to India in white-ball cricket as he provides much-needed balance. Even after 11 years he continues to be grossly underrated and deserves a lot more respect than he gets. Feel India will miss him dearly,” Kaif told India Today.

On Friday, he single-handedly got India to 161, after they were 114/6 after Hardik Pandya’s dismissal in the 17th over. He also scored 115 runs in the ODI series against Australia including a fifty.
In the third ODI, it was his 150-run partnership with Hardik Pandya which helped India post a total above 300 runs and win the game defending their total.
Ravindra Jadeja has made himself into a useful all-rounder ever since making comeback in the Indian team in the Asia Cup 2018. Before that he fell out of favor from the Indian squad after the Champions Trophy in 2017.
In a media release, BCCI confirmed that the all-rounder had sustained a concussion after being hit on the head during the closing stages of India’s innings in the T20I series opener at Canberra. Shardul Thakur will replace him for the last two T20Is vs Australia.
