India and England are facing each other in the second T20I at Edgbaston. India is currently leading the 3 match T20I series by 1-0. The Indian team comfortably won the first T20I by 50 runs.If the Indian team wins the second T20I at Edgbaston, they would seal the T20I series in England.
Virat Kohli, Rishabh Pant, Ravindra Jadeja and Jasprit Bumrah replaced Deepak Hooda , Ishan Kishan, Axar Patel and Arshdeep Singh in the playing XI. It was not an easy decision for Rohit Sharma to keep Deepak Hooda out of the playing XI.
Deepak Hooda hit a brilliant century in Ireland and then played a cameo of 33 runs in 17 balls against England in the first T20I. Fans on twitter expressed their disappointment with the exclusion of Deepak Hooda. Fans believe that an in-form player like Hooda should be given preference in playing XI.
Virat Kohli who replaced Hooda in the playing XI didn’t have a good outing in the 2nd T20I. He was dismissed on a score of 1 run in 3 balls. Here are some of top twitter reactions where fans vouched for inclusion of Deepak Hooda:
Very unfortunate for Deepak Hooda to miss out in this red hot form.

Why is Hooda out? Doesn't make any sense. And honestly I find it very weird that Arshdeep was there just for one game (not that one can argue abt it now).

deepka hooda played brilliant innings in previous game and then too dropped for out of form kohli. imagine the kind of pressure in which hooda, sky etc are playing. one poor series and they'll be history.#ViratKohli #ENGvIND

Got to feel for Deepak Hooda. 205 runs including a hundred in just 6 T20Is at a strike-rate of 170+ and an average nearly touching 70. His time will come đź’Ş #ENGvIND

Ravindra Jadeja shines with bat for Indian team
England won the toss and decided to bowl first in the afternoon game. Indian captain Rohit Sharma revealed that he doesn’t mind losing the toss because he would have elected to bat first. The Indian team made four changes to their playing XI for the match.
The Indian team put up a total of 170 runs after being invited to bat first. Ravindra Jadeja played a brilliant knock of 46 runs in 29 balls and top scored for the Indian team. Rohit Sharma too played a good cameo of 31 runs. Chris Jordan picked 4 wickets and Richard Gleeson grabbed 3 wickets from the England team.
