Ever since the launch of valorant , the esports scenario of the most famous fps shooter game of 2020 started blooming. Even though there wasn’t any valorant tournament hosted by Riot games officially last year, this year Riot Games announced their entry into the Indian esports scene with the announcement of the Valorant Conquerors Championship (VCC).
Valorant Conquerors Championship is a Qualifying tournament for the Asia – Pacific last chance qualifiers, which is a part of the 2021 Valorant Champions Tour series. This is the only way in which South Asian teams can qualify for the Valorant Champions tour, which also includes India.
Valorant Conquerors Championship Prize pool:
The winners of the Valorant Conquerors Championship will take home the VCC Champions title along with a lion’s share of the $33,000 US Dollar prize pool.
A total of eight slots is allocated for the Valorant Conquerors Championship main event:
• Two from India.
• Two from Pakistan-Afghanistan.
• One from Nepal-Bhutan.
• One from Bangladesh.
• One from Sri-Lanka Maldives.
• One from Wildcard Qualifiers.
Team Velocity Gaming (VLT) won the first India qualifiers by beating Global esports with a score of 3-1. Through this victory the team advanced to the next Valorant Conquerors Championship round where they went up against the winners of the Bangladesh VCC qualifiers, Exceeli esports. Velocity Gaming beat them with a score of 2-0 in a best-of-three match format.

Velocity Gaming won the first map, Breeze with a score of 13-3. After a defeat in the first map, Exceeli esports tried their best to defend the second round but velocity gaming dominated the round with a score of 13-8. With this victory, Velocity gaming emerged as the winners of the first Valorant Conquerors Championship group stage match.
