Chennai Super Kings won the match against Royal Challengers Bangalore comfortably by six wickets at MCA stadium, Pune. Jadeja and Harbhajan bowled a dream spell as they shared figures of 5/40 between them.
Though contributions from several players played a role in the win, one person from the camp has been making it a habit to finish the games in a high. That”s none other than MS Dhoni. Calm and composed, the “Vintage” Dhoni arrived in this edition of the league and is now the player with maximum sixes here (27).
He is also in contention for the orange cap as he hit 360 runs at an impressive average. Recent videos released by the official IPL account on Twitter showed his ability to remain cool on the field intense situations. Even Bravo mentioned that Dhoni is the coolest captain he has ever played under.
Another incident took place on the field that elucidates the respect his fans hold for this legend. Dhoni hit three sixes off Chahal”s over to take his team home. A fan ran all the way from the stands to touch his feet and this video is going viral in the social media for some time now.
This is not the first time, but incidents like this also happened in earlier matches as well as in the India A vs England in 2017 during Dhoni”s last assignment as a captain in Indian colours.
