Pakistan Cup, a domestic tournament
involving five teams in the limited overs format was played till Wednesday. The
final game was played between Khyber Pakhtunkhwa vs Federal Areas. Though the
series had a few international players in it, Ahmed Shehzad came into spotlight
as he did something which hasn”t pleased the audience and the teammates as
well.
During the final over when KP side needed just 3 off 4 deliveries, the batsman on a hussle to finish the things all of a sudden sent the ball over the deep mid wicket region. Shehzad who was fielding at the area, dropped the catch and claimed that he has taken it successfully and needs a DRS for the same.
A similar
kind of incident was replicated by Shehzad against Srilanka in a game at
UAE few years ago. The replays suggested that he clearly missed the catch and
the fans couldn”t stop trolling him on all social media platforms.
It is to be noted that Pakistan Cricket Board announced a list of 23 probable to appear for the fitness test for the squad to be selected on April 18th. Ahmad Shehzad, Wahab Riaz and Umar Akmal have been left out of the side.
