The England team has hit the nets and their sessions are off and running before the all important semi-final clash against Pakistan at The Cardiff on June 14.

England being the only team to win all the league matches look in red hot form and are the team to beat in this tournament. As their practice sessions got underway there was a painful moment for Ben Stokes as one delivery hit that part of the body where you don”t want to be hit.

In frustration, Stokes demolished the stumps with his bat. No doubt the pain got better off him and it was evident he will vent out all his resentment in following deliveries.

He did just that. He smashed next few balls! Had it been in a match these would have soared high in the air and sailed into the stands. He spared not bowler in the nets, not even his teammate Moeen Ali. He showed glimpses of what he can do if he”s fired up.

Stokes having great power and sound techniques has the ability to tear apart bowling attacks at will. His hundred the other day against Australia at Edgbaston contained 13 fours and 2 sixes. There”s not only power about this man”s strokeplay but also a lot of quality.

Stokes is undoubtedly the best all rounder in world cricket at the moment across all 3 formats.
