VIDEO: David Warner”s gesture towards net bowler is winning hearts

David Warner has been making an impact right from the first match in this World Cup after his period of the ban. Two Man of the Match awards in this tournament proves his passion for the game and his stint in the Indian Premier League was an example for the same. The Australian top order always needs him to fire in the initial overs so as to create a fear factor in the opposition. However, then his on-field performances, his signs of love off the field deserves attention.

It was reported that David Warner played a rash shot which hit the bowler on his head during the net sessions. Jaykishan Plaha, the bowler from Indian origin was then hospitalized for a week and he is now back fit and healthy. As a token of gratitude, what Warner did to him after his recovery is so heart-touching.

Prior to the game against Lankan lions, Plaha and his mom visited David Warner near the dressing room. Warner presented him his Australian jersey which included the autographs of the entire World Cup squad. Needless to say that Plaha had was touched by his gesture. The official handle of ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 has posted this video on social media handles and this is currently receiving a lot of accolades from the fans on social media.

It is to be noted that Warner presented a little kid in the stands his MoM award during the last game against Pakistan. The kid was so ecstatic and was moved by such gesture by an International player. By all means, Warner is trying to make his years memorable after the unforgettable sandpaper gate which kept him away from the sport.
