Australian batsman Geroge Bailey was seen batting in unusual stance during practice for Prime Minister XI against South Africa played on 31st October at Canberra. South Africa was bowled out for 173 runs in 42 overs with Aiden Markram the top scorer with 47. David Miller made 45 runs but South Africa could not score big runs.

Chasing 174 runs to win, Prime Minister XI lost 3 wickets for 53 runs. George Bailey South Africa came to the crease and batted in an unusual stance which left South African captain Faf du Plessis laughing fielding at slips. Bailey defended the balls from Lungi Ngidi with his surprising stance. The captain of Prime Minister XI remained not out on 51 off 76 balls and helped the hosts win the match by 4 wickets.

South Africa will take on Australia in 3 match ODI series starting from 4th November. In cricket, there are batsmen who have an unusual stance which makes life tough for the bowlers. Steve Smith from Australia, Kevin Pietersen from England, Hashim Amla from South Africa, Fawad Alam from Pakistan, Shivnarine Chanderpaul from West Indies, Lance Klusener from South Africa.

The batsmen have different types of technique. Bailey has played 5 test matches, 90 ODI’s and 30 T20I matches for Australia. In the Indian Premier League, Bailey represented Kings XI Punjab, Chennai Super Kings and Rising Pune Supergiants.

Australia would be looking to perform better in the upcoming ODI series and improve their record after the ban of Steve Smith and David Warner. Australia was whitewashed by England 0-5 in ODI series played in England this year.
