Irfan Pathan celebrated his 33rd birthday in Baroda camp on 27th of October. He has been out of the Indian team for quite some time. Baroda is struggling in 2017/18 Ranji Trophy season at the bottom of the points table in Group C with 1 point. Irfan Pathan has played so far 29 test matches, 120 One day Internationals.
He made his test debut in 2003 against Australia. In the 29 test matches he played, Pathan has taken 100 wickets and scored 1105 runs with 1 century, 9 half centuries. His last test was in 2008 against South Africa. Irfan Pathan was one of the Indian bowlers to take a hattrick in test matches against Pakistan in 2006. He dismissed Salman Butt, Younis Khan and Mohammad Yousuf in 3 successive balls.
He was a part of the Indian team which won the inaugural World T20 played in South Africa. Irfan Pathan also played for 5 franchises in IPL, including Kings XI Punjab, Deccan Chargers, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai Super Kings, Rising Pune Supergiant and Gujarat Lions. Irfan Pathan a good-all rounder has shown lots of promise has played 94 first-class matches for Baroda.
Irfan Pathan made his ODI debut in 2004. In those 120 One day internationals, he has taken 173 wickets and scored 1544 runs with 0 century and 5 half-centuries. Irfan Pathan also has an experience of playing in T20s for Baroda. He has been out of the Indian team for quite some time and would be looking perform well in 2017/18 Ranji Trophy matches to come back into the Indian squad.
Baroda will take on Tripura from 1st November. Irfan Pathan scored 80 runs and took 1 wicket in the first match against Madhya Pradesh and in the next match, he could not score much.
