Chinaman spinner Kuldeep Yadav is making an impression with every opportunity that is coming his way. Currently, debuting in the ODI series in West Indies, Yadav is once again proving why he can be India”s trump card in the years to come.

In the 2nd ODI against West Indies at Port of Spain, Yadav scalped three wickets in his 9 overs for a little under 6 runs an over as India beat the home team by 105 runs.

It was a Rahane show with the bat, this after he scored his 3rd ODI hundred. Rahane smashed 103 runs in 104 balls with the help of 10 fours and 2 sixes while Kohli and Dhawan too hit half-centuries as India amassed 310 in the 43-over per side encounter. In reply West Indies never looked like chasing down the Indian total as they were 4 for 2 in the first 3 overs.

Wicketkeeper-batsman Shai Hope raised hopes for an unlikely comeback scoring 81 runs for the home side. Otherwise, it never looked like West Indies was making a match out of this total. Hope was looking dangerous as he hit 3 huge sixes and 5 fours in his 88 ball stay.

Kuldeep Yadav though came into bowl and completely changed the complexion of the game. The Chinaman bowler first accounted for the wicket of in-form Hope after which he dismissed Elvin Lewis, courtesy, a smart piece of glove-work from MS Dhoni.

However, the moment of brilliance came when Kuldeep Yadav foxed West Indies captain Jason Holder. Holder gave Kuldeep the charge and danced down the wicket to hit him out of the ground, but a calm and wily Kuldeep bowled the other only for Dhoni to do the needful behind the stumps. Dhoni was not flashy or fast behind the stumps this time as he had more than enough time to play around with the moment.
