It’s Mustafizur’s 21st birthday and on this occasion, let’s re-visit one of his best spells which came against india on the 21st of june in 2015, This spell incidentally is also his best figures in an ODI. So without any further ado, lets watch the Bangladeshi lad in action.

Everybody knows how lethal can Rohit get. Yes , he takes his own gala time to get set but once he’s in the mood , he demolishes the bowling line-up by smashing the ball in all parts of the ground , but Fizz ensured that it wasn’t his day and he drew first blood in the very beginning itself as he made rohit lean into a drive which made him produce a healthy edge towards the point fielder which gave the Bangladeshi side the early advantage. Though Raina was rotating the strike and was hitting a few runs, he couldn’t escape the Fizz’s web yet again as he gave away a simple catch to the keeper. In the 3 match series, Raina fell thrice to Mustafiz.

He even deceived captain cool with a slower delivery and Dhoni gave a regulation catch to soumya sarkar in covers. But this lad was hungry for more , and to satisfy his hunger for wickets , he claimed another wicket in the very next delivery itself as he sent back Axar Patel on an LBW.

“Would he stop here?” was the only thought of the Indian supporters. But he wouldn’t listen to anyone as he was on fire. He claimed Ashwin’s Wicket in the 41st over, poor Ashiwn thought to guide the ball to the leg side and take a single but little did he knew that the ball only listened to Fizz that day and it went right past his edge giving another regulation catch to the keeper.
“OK! HE GOT ANOTHER 5-FER! WILL HE STOP NOW?” –Frustrated Indian Supporter

Yep, that was every Indian fan’s story that day. It was Fizz’s last delivery in his quota and to wrap things up, he claimed Jadeja’s wicket in supreme fashion as he went pass through Jadeja’s stance and the ball rattled through the stumps which is an absolute delight for any fast bowler.

“It has been a Fairy Tale evening” was quoted by Alan Wilkins upon seeing this young lad devastating one of the best batting line-ups in the limited over format. He announced his arrival in a scintillating manner as he bagged 13 wickets in 3 games and that too against a Top nation. This just might be a beginning to a new master class in pace bowling as he has already shown his talent in the Global Stage and in the IPL.
