Sohail Khan throws a ball to Yasir Shah who was standing on the boundary. This incident took place in PSL 3 between the match Quetta Gladiators and Lahore Qalandars on 14th March at the Sharjah International Stadium.
Quetta Gladiators won the toss and elected to field first. Fakhar Zaman made a brilliant 94 while their wicketkeeper Sadaf contributed 42 runs off 27 balls and Sunil Narine quick fire 20 off 14 balls helped Lahore Qalandars post 186 for 4 in 20 overs.
Chasing the target of 187, Jason Roy scored 36, Rilee Rossouw made 42 and captain Sarfraz Ahmed made 28 not out. The incident took place in the 19th over, as the bowler decided to throw the ball in frustration to Yasir Shah. At that moment, Quetta Gladiators required 30 runs off 9 balls. Sohail wanted the fielder to focus on the job instead of looking elsewhere. Lahore Qalandars won the match by 17 runs.
At the present moment, Islamabad United, Lahore Qalandars, Quetta Gladiators have qualified for the playoffs stage. Between Karachi Kings and Multan Sultans, the fourth team will be decided today. Islamabad United will finish at the top of the points table after league stages irrespective of today’s result against Karachi Kings.
During the match, Kevin Pietersen was playing the match for Quetta Gladiators.
