VIDEO: Sarfraz Ahmed uses the “F” word at Martin Guptill in the 3rd T20I

The Pakistan Cricket team captain Sarfraz Ahmed did not behave properly as he used bad language to New Zealand opener Martin Guptill during the 3rd T20I match played at Bay Oval, Mount Maunganui on 28th January 2018. Pakistan captain Sarfarz won the toss and elected to bat first.

Fakhar Zaman was the top scorer with 46 runs and rest of batsmen scored quickfire knocks to help Pakistan post a competitive total of 181 for 6 in 20 overs. Chasing the target of 182, New Zealand openers Kane Williamson and Guptill added 32 runs in 5.1 overs. On final ball of 6th over, Guptill hit a massive six off Faheem Ashraf bowling which went out of the stadium.

The captain Sarfraz Ahmed was unhappy with the ball and said to Martin Guptill I am not talking with you, showed his finger to the explosive New Zealand opener, and used bad language. It was a poor behavior by the Pakistan captain to use such language on a field. Pakistan won the match by 18 runs and won series 2-1.

By the virtue of this win, Pakistan became the number 1 ranked side in T20Is. Under the captaincy of Sarfraz Ahmed, New Zealand outplayed Pakistan in the ODI series. It was a poor performance by Pakistan team who struggled in 5 matches One-day international series. None of the Pakistani batsmen were able to face the New Zealand fast bowlers.

Pakistan lost the first T20I against New Zealand by 7 wickets and then came back strongly to win the second T20I by 48 runs at Auckland. Sarfraz Ahmed was happy with the performance in the T20I series against New Zealand. With the World Cup 2019 coming up, Sarfraz Ahmed and Pakistan team must work on their weakness if they have any chance of winning the prestigious title.

The Pakistan senior team won the Champions Trophy held in 2017 after stunning India. It is going to be a challenge for Sarfraz Ahmed to lift this team and prepare them for World Cup 2019.
