The T10 league started yesterday at Sharjah in which 6 teams participate over four days. In this league, many great former cricketers like Virender Sehwag, Kumar Sangakkara, Shahid Afridi are taking part in this tournament.  It also includes current-day cricketers like David Miller, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Hassan Ali.

The six teams are Maratha Arabians, Pakhtoons, Bengal Tigers, Kerala Kings, Punjabi Legends and Colombo Lions. It is a format to see their cricketing heroes and also entertain the crowd. In the first match of the tournament yesterday, Bengal Tigers defeated Kerala Kings by 8 wickets. Mostly Sri Lankan, Pakistani, West Indies are taking part in this tournament.

Each team has some iconic players. Kerala Kings have Eoin Morgan, Virender Sehwag for Maratha Arabians, Shahid Afridi for Pakhtoons, Shoaib Malik for Punjabi Legends, Dinesh Chandimal for Colombo Lions and Sarfraz Ahmed for Bengal Tigers.

In the second match, Pakhtoons took on Maratha Arabians. Liam Dawson 44 and Fakhar Zaman 45 not out helped Pakhtoons post 121 for 4 in 10 overs. Chasing the target of 122, Shahid Afridi turned back the clock by picking up a hattrick in the 5th over. He dismissed South African Rossouw caught, then bowled a quicker one to dismiss West Indies Dwayne Bravo and dismissed former Indian opener Virender Sehwag. Shahid Afridi has been a star for Pakistan cricket. It was a great performance by Pakistani legend.

All you need to know about the T10 League

Afridi finished with figures of 3 for 19 in 2 overs. Pakhtoons won the match by 25 runs. For Maratha Arabians, Alex Hales remained not out on 57.

This league will be played in a round-robin format.  Semifinals will be played on 17th and finals to be played on the same night. It promises to be an exciting tournament with top players from the world entertaining the crowd.

Today there will be four matches played. In the first match, Bengal Tigers will face Punjabi Legends at 4 PM, Maratha Arabians take on Colombo Lions at 6 PM, Punjabi Legends takes on Kerala Kings and final match Pakhtoons against Colombo Lions.
