VIDEO: This is how Bangladesh men’s team celebrated women’s maiden Asia Cup Title

Bangladesh fans are ecstatic on the social media as their women’s team won their maiden Asia Cup title. The match went down the wire till the last delivery, as Jahanara Alam held her nerve to complete the double.

Bangladesh women seal their maiden Asia Cup title with thrilling 3 wicket win against India

This is the first time that Bangladesh women won three consecutive T20I. They were defeated only once in this tournament against Srilanka women where they slumped for a paltry 63. They defeated India twice and Pakistan once and ended up second in the points table prior to finals.

Meanwhile, the Men’s team are full smiles after the historic victory. In a video released by Tamim Iqbal, all the players were seen with their eyes glued to the television. The players celebrated the victory by clapping their hands and hugging each other. Tamim Iqbal, Sowmya Sarkar and Mustafizur Rahman were spotted in the video.

Twitter Reacts as Bangladesh defeat India Women in the Asia Cup Final

It is to be noted that Bangladesh was trashed by Afghanistan in the three-match T20 series at Dehradun. This win will really boost the morale of the Bangladesh cricket who was going through a lean patch for some time. They were heartbroken earlier this year in the Nidahas trophy finals as they were blown away by Dinesh Karthik’s blitz.

Bangladesh men will be touring Westindies next month where they will play 2 tests, 3 ODI’s and T20I’s. Considering their positions in the ICC rankings both the teams will be looking to make the best use of the opportunity to come out with flying colours.

All eyes will be on their star bowlers Mustafizur Rahman who was ruled out due to an injury. However, the squads aren’t announced yet and it is expected to be out soon.
