VIDEO: Trailer launched for Emraan Hashmi starred ‘Azhar’: The trailer of the upcoming Emraan Hashmi starred biopic ‘Azhar’ on the life of former India skipper Mohammad Azharuddin has been released. On Thursday Balaji Motion Pictures unveiled the trailer of the movie set to hit screens on 13 May 2016 and will be one of the most controversial movies in Bollywood.

Mohammad Azharuddin, the stylish right-handed batsman and most controversial captain of India was banned for life for match-fixing scandals in 2000 and was lifted in 2006 but the ICC continued to revoke the ban. The upcoming movie is based on these facts with the trailer of Azharuddin’s biopic ‘Azhar’ being released today.

Emraan Hashmi will portray the lead role, that is of Azharuddin, who himself was busy in training the cast and crew for the movie. The film also features Prachi Desai as Azhar”s first wife Naureen, and Nargis Fakhri as his second wife Sangeeta Bijlani. Arguably Indian fans would be eagerly waiting for the release of this film.
