Eoin Morgan once again proved his hitting skills in the Vitality T20 Blast. He helped his side Middlesex chase a huge target of 227 in just 17 overs against Somerset. Morgan remained unbeaten on 83 off just 29 deliveries. His quickfire knock included 5 boundaries and 8 huge sixes.
His knock shadowed a fantastic century of Somerset skipper Tom Abell (101 off 47 deliveries). Alongside Morgan, even the skipper Dawid Malan made an astounding 41 at the top of the order which paved the way for a great finish.
Somerset played their hearts out yesterday. However, Babar Azam couldn”t make an impact as he fell for a golden duck. But it doesn”t affect his average as he is already leading the batting charts over 578 runs.

Vitality T20 blast and the format
The group fixtures are now complete and the focus now shifts to quarterfinals. Initially, two groups of nine teams each engaged for a top-four finish.
The knockout fixtures commence on September 4. As the tournament is approaching the final and vital stages, we are set for an intense battle in days to come.
