Royal Challengers Bangalore will have everything to play for as they lock horns with defending champions Mumbai Indians. Meanwhile, Bangalore skipper Virat Kohli joined an elusive list as he became the 3rd Indian captain to play 150 T20s.
After a great start to the campaign, the Royal Challengers stumbled on losing to Kings XI Punjab. They looked completely out of socks against the likes of KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal. The bowlers had no clue how to stop Rahul as he marched on to score the maiden IPL 2020 century.

The betters also didn’t have a great game as they succumbed to a 97-run defeat. Bangalore have revamped their line-up for the game against Mumbai Indians and will hope to put up a better display in Dubai. They have dropped Josh Phillipe and Dale Steyn, who didn’t impress in the first two games.
Instead, Virat Kohli has brought in Isuru Udana and Adam Zampa. Both of them makes their debut for RCB and will hope to make an impression in their first game in the UAE.
Meanwhile, Virat Kohli has joined Gautam Gambhir and MS Dhoni to be the 3rd Indian captain to play 150 T20s. This also includes the matches he has played for his country. Dhoni has 273 T20 games as captain under his belt which is also the highest across the world.
Following him in the list is West Indies’ Darren Sammy, who has led a couple of franchise alongside captaining the national side. Gautam Gambhir sits in the third place followed by Kohli. In his 12 years, Kohli has led only two teams – Royal Challengers Bangalore and Team India.
Bangalore aiming for a win
Virat Kohli has captained Bangalore in 113* matches so far while he has 37 games under his belt as India captain. The talismanic run-scorer will be desperate to make it memorable for him with a win over the defending champions.
