Sanju Samson so far has lit up the IPL 2020 in the United Arab Emirates. The elegant batsman has shown immense range while batting and played a pivotal role in both the victories of the Royals. Since his heroics, in the last few days in the IPL, many have wanted him to be part of the Indian side.

Gautam Gambhir had stated the according to him he is probably at present is the best wicket-keeper batsman in India. Now after Samson put on an exhibition at Sharjah and scored a breath-taking 82 of just 42 deliveries, Shashi Tharoor who is a huge cricket enthusiast compared him with MS Dhoni.

After his two amazing innings in this IPL you know a world-class player has arrived,” Tharoor tweeted after the Royals victory.

Meanwhile, Gambhir who is currently a politician saw the tweet and replied in a flash. Gambhir opposed with Tharoor’s massive claim and advised him not to compare Samson with anyone. Gambhir who himself is a huge admirer of Samson’s talent wrote that he will be the ‘the’ Sanju Samson of Indian Cricket.

Well, there’s no denying the talent of Samson’s talent but comparing him with Dhoni was indeed uncalled for. In today’s time, young players are often hyped and compared with legendary players which ultimately comes back to haunt them.

Moreover, Sanju Samson is currently at the peak of his powers and knocking on the door of national selection. He has played for Indian in the past but never been able to cement his spot permanently. After his inning last night he admitted that he has 10 years of cricket left him and he wants to make the most of it.

The batsman from Kerela ahead of the IPL focused on his nutrition and training which is now paying him dividend in IPL 2020. Samson is currently the leading run-getter for the Royals in the 13th edition of the IPL.
