Veteran Indian cricketer Virat Kohli, along with his wife and Bollywood star Anushka Sharma, welcomed New Year 2026 in Dubai in the company of close friends and family. A snapshot from the celebrations was shared on Instagram Stories by Kohli’s brother, Vikas Kohli.

The picture featured Virat posing with his nephew, Aryaveer Kohli, while other family members, including his sister Bhawna Kohli Dhingra and her husband, were also seen in the frame.

On the cricketing side, the 37-year-old recently turned out for Delhi in the first two matches of the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025–26. In the Round 1 encounter against Andhra Pradesh on December 24, the right-handed batter produced a superb knock of 131 from 101 deliveries, smashing 14 boundaries and three sixes to guide Delhi to a successful chase of 299 and a four-wicket win.

In the Round 2 match against Gujarat on December 26, he maintained his rich vein of form, scoring 77 off 61 deliveries, which included 13 fours and a six, as Delhi finished with 254/9. With the ball, Prince Yadav played a key role by claiming three wickets, helping Delhi edge out Gujarat by seven runs.

During Delhi’s Round 2 Vijay Hazare Trophy clash against Gujarat, Vishal Jayswal grabbed attention after getting the wicket of Virat Kohli. Speaking in an interview with KADAK, released on January 1, the 27-year-old revealed that he didn’t have much opportunity to interact with Kohli after the match but did manage to get his autograph on the ball, saying:

“He also had to leave, there wasn’t much time. As soon as the match ended, I wanted his signature on that ball, so I went to meet him. I got his signature on the ball. We didn’t talk much. He just said that I was bowling well, to keep at it, that I was doing a good job, and that I would get more opportunities going forward.”
