Virat Kohli Can Break Sachin Tendulkar’s Record – Brad Hogg

Former Australia spinner Brad Hogg feels that Virat Kohli is the man who could go on to break the big record of Sachin Tendulkar. The Master Blaster is currently the only batsmen in the world to score 100 centuries in the game.

Hogg was put forward this question by a fan to which he replied on his YouTube channel. He feels that Kohli can break Tendulkar’s record as his fitness levels are way better than that during Sachin’s time. Also with fitness trainers, doctors and physios around players are easily able to address their injuries.

Kohli currently has 70 international centuries to his name. The talismanic run-scorer is only six centuries away from Sachin Tendulkar’s 49 in ODIs. On the other hand, Kohli has 27 tons under his belt in the red-ball format.

“Of course he can. Fitness levels today are a lot better when Sachin Tendulkar started. Plus they get a lot of help with quality fitness trainers. they have also got a lot of doctors and physios on board.

Any niggle that is starting to happen people can get on top of it straight away. Therefore players miss fewer games and of course, there is a lot more cricket being played these days. So yes, he can break that record,” said Hogg.

Another questioned poised towards Brad Hogg was which country has the best bowling attack. The leg-spinner, who represented Kolkata Knight Riders, said that India has had a dominant pace attack since the last couple of years. He feels since India’s pace bowlers take wickets than any other country which makes them a dominant bowling attack.

“I am going to go with the start of the series between Australia and India in November 2018. The Indian bowling attack has dominated world cricket, India’s pace attack take wickets quicker than any other team and they have played against some good teams. That’s why India is pretty dominant.” added  Brad Hogg.
