The cricketing world saw a new sight in the fourth ODI between Indian and Sri Lanka in Colombo when the girls carried napkins and drinks during one of the mandatory drinks break while Indian team was defending a mammoth score of 375 runs they had posted for the hosts.

After the first hour of India’s fielding, the umpires called in for the mandatory drinks break. The reserved players of the Indian team in the form of Ajinkya Rahane and Yuzvendra Chahal came out with the drinks, but along with them some girls also came out with drinks and napkins on their hands. Even the men in blue were seen stunned by this act.

Talking about the same incident, a Sri Lankan board official was heard saying, “Ground must look beautiful,”

The event management company who was responsible for overseeing this match in the series said that they wanted to do something new to draw the attention of the viewers. “We wanted to do something new to the old tradition and this idea struck to us,” Bhairav Shanth the co-founder of the event management company said.

India became the first team to beat Sri Lanka 5-0 in Sri Lanka after decimating them in the test series as well. Virat Kohli reached his 30th ODI ton to sit second with Australia’s Ricky Ponting with only Sachin Tendulkar ahead of them.

Bhuvaneshwar Kumar also showed his class taking five wickets after he was dropped from the team in the fourth ODI. The Indian team now looks all confident to beat Sri Lanka in the one off T-20 and look forward to the Australia series.
