Team India is gearing up for the 2022 T20 World Cup which begins on October 16 in Australia. They secured a brilliant win by 13 runs in their first warm-up game against Western Australia XI on Monday. Ahead of the second game, Veteran batter Virat Kohli and other India cricketers enjoyed a day off in Perth.

Virat Kohli took to social media to share pictures from his day off with his teammates. In one of the pictures, he is seen posing with Axar Patel, Harshal Patel, and Deepak Hooda. The players spend time with each other exploring the place. Kohli captioned it as,

Virat Kohli also shared an image with Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul on his Instagram stories. He wrote, “One with the birthday boy @hardikpandy93 while sharing the picture. Hardik Pandya is celebrating his 29th birthday on October 11, 2022.

India wins the first warm-up match by 13 runs.

Team India secured a 13-run win in the first warm-up match against Western Australia XI on Monday. Batting first they put on 158 runs on the board at the loss of six wickets. Suryakumar Yadav slammed a brilliant 52 off just 35 deliveries.

In response, Western Australia XI fell short of the target, handing India a 13 runs win. Arshdeep Singh picked up three wickets, while Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Yuzvendra Chahal took two wickets each in the innings.

India will play their second warm-up match on Thursday, October 13 in Perth. Veteran batter Virat Kohli, who was rested for the first warm-up game, is likely to be included in the second. The Rohit Sharma-led team will play a couple of official practice matches against Australia and New Zealand, before beginning their T20 World Cup campaign against Pakistan.
