Virat Kohli, the batsman for Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), is about to reach a significant milestone in their penultimate league stage game of the current Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season.

On Sunday, May 12, the Bengaluru-based club will play the Delhi Capitals, captained by Rishabh Pant, in the 62nd IPL 2024 match at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, home of the team. For both sides to be in the running for the T20 tournament’s playoff stages, they have to win this match.

RCB has experienced significant success under Kohli’s adept leadership, winning 66 of 143 games. Throughout his remarkable career, he has broken countless records, one of which is the record for most runs scored in an IPL season (973 in 2016).

Given his long-lasting relationship with RCB, it seems likely that Kohli will play for the team until he hangs up his boots.

Virat Kohli is set to become the first cricketer to play 250 games:

Virat Kohli is about to etch his name in cricketing history as he prepares for his 250th IPL encounter. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will face Delhi Capitals (DC) in a critical match for both teams in the IPL 2024 season.

Kohli will enter an elite club, becoming the fourth player to achieve this feat. Remarkably, he will be the first to accomplish this milestone despite only representing one organization during his IPL career.

This match is very important since RCB has to win to increase their chances of making the playoffs, while DC would lose badly if they lost.

Other cricketing greats like MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and Dinesh Karthik have played for many clubs in the IPL, in contrast to Kohli’s steadfast commitment. Dhoni played for the Rising Pune Supergiant before joining the Chennai Super Kings for his 15th season.

In the same way, Rohit started his IPL career with the Deccan Chargers before succeeding with the Mumbai Indians. Karthik, on the other hand, played with many different teams before rejoining RCB for the 2022 IPL.
