Virat Kohli Is The Best Batsman And At A Different Level- Jhye Richardson

Virat Kohli is a nightmare to bowl at for any bowler in world cricket today. The Indian skipper has dominated every bowling attack in every condition in his career. Young Australian fast bowler Jhye Richardson also accepted that Kohli is undoubtedly the best batsman that he has so far bowled to. The fast bowler also admitted that Kohli is just at a different level.

Richardson, who has dismissed Kohli 4 times in his ODI career said that he just wanted to dominate him whenever he came on to bowl. He pointed out that Kohli bats with different energy and is a cut above the rest that any other Indian batsman.

Kohli is the best – Richardson

The bowler added that whenever Kohli was at the crease he was in pressure and always felt he was on the backfoot. Jhye Richardson believes despite having Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul in the ranks, Kohli operates on a different level.

“Virat Kohli without a doubt is the best. He bats with so much energy and you can tell he’s on a different level than anyone else you bowl to. Even in the Indian team when you’ve got the Rohit Sharma’s and all but Kohli’s at a different level.”

“He hits the ball in areas that you can’t even imagine. You can tell that he pushes the other guys in the team to sort of step up when he’s batting with them. He’s unbelievable. He can change a game like that”, said Richardson.

“There were a few times that I bowled to him in India post their Australian tour, as soon as I came on to bowl, it’s like he wanted to take me down straight away. He was in the fight from ball 1. I felt I was on the back foot”, further added the Aussie fast bowler.

Meanwhile, Jhye Richardson burst on the scene a year ago when he dismissed Kohli in all 3 ODI matches in Australia. However, Kohli bounced back in style and dominated him when he came on the Indian tour. The duo will battle once again later this year when India tours Australia for a full tour. The Indian captain is currently the number 1 ranked ODI batsman in the world.
