The world cricket has witnessed some of the greatest batsmen to dominate the game at present. India skipper Virat Kohli and former South Africa superstar AB de Villiers are two of the best batters to grace this generation. They have often ignited a difference of opinion among the fans who sit to pick the best among the two. Recently, former leg-spinner Brad Hogg revealed his pick between the two legends.

The duo developed a great bond playing together for the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League over the years. They have played some of the greatest knocks the world cricket has ever witnessed taking the sport to a whole new level.

However, the long-standing debate about who is the best amongst the two has never come to an end and the fans get divided into two halves. Recently, former Australia spinner, Brad Hogg, who has played against both of them revealed his pick while answering a fan’s question on Twitter.

A fan took to Twitter and wrote “@Brad_Hogg@TomMoodyCricket, Considering AB still being in such a supreme form after retirement and Virat too at peak of his game, Who do you guys think is a better batsman between AB & Kohli.”

While there is a stark difference of opinion between the fans, Brad Hogg settled the debate by replying to the fan that Virat Kohli is the best at present. There is not much to separate the two batsmen when it comes to their batting style. While AB de Villiers has announced retirement from international cricket, Kohli is still going strong leading India across the formats.

“Kohli, stars (stats) back it up,” Hogg answered. 

The duo was slated to reunite during the 13th edition of the Indian Premier League; however, it was postponed in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
