Virat Kohli couldn’t hold himself back after fans continuously chorused for MS Dhoni during he 2nd T20I. During the second T20I at SCG between India and Australia, a large contention of Indian supporters were specifically MS Dhoni devotees. The former Indian captain wasn’t part of the game but it felt like as if he is still playing for India.

When Virat Kohli was fielding near the boundary rope a huge group of Dhoni fans caught his attention. The current Indian captain has always maintained that Dhoni will forever be his captain as he made his India debut under his leadership.

Virat Kohli Responds After Fans Show Banners Of ‘Miss You Dhoni’

The two great cricketers share a magical bond and their supporters refer to them as ‘Mahirat’. That is why when Kohli saw the spectators in the ground with the ‘Miss you Dhoni’ banner he too was seen saying ‘Me too’ to the adoring fans which delighted everyone.

The lovable video went viral on Twitter which made everyone’s day. Kohli never shies away from interacting with his fans when he is fielding near the boundary fence. Fans knew that Kohli will probably acknowledge them if they get his attention through the ‘Miss you Dhoni’ banner. As soon as Kohli saw it he was seen signalling which indicated that he too is missing Dhoni while playing for India.

Meanwhile during the IPL 2020 when CSK and RCB faced each other everyone saw mutual respect that Dhoni and Kohli share. When Kohli came out to bat he was seen having a polite discussion with Dhoni that made both of them giggle.

Earlier this year Dhoni retired from international cricket on 15th August. The news of his retirement somewhat shocked everyone including Kohli who share on the emotional post across social media platforms. Dhoni continues to play in the IPL and will be seen during next season which is expected to be played between April-May in India.
