The current Indian skipper Virat Kohli has grown from strength to strength over the years in his cricketing career. From lifting u19 world cup to ICC World Cup 2011 and then becoming one of the best batsmen in the world cricket, Virat Kohli has already ticked the box of becoming a modern-day great.

India skipper Virat Kohli, who is spending his time indoors due to the coronavirus lockdown, took the opportunity to interact with his fans on ”Cricket Connected” on Star Sports. During the show, a fan asked Kohli to pick the second-most memorable match in his illustrious career after the 2011 World Cup final.

He guided Indian Cricket Team to many victories with his match-winning performances. Picking a favourite from a humungous list of match-winning performances is incredibly tough and it isn’t much different from Kohli. However, he refined his list to pick one after the ICC World Cup 2011 final.

Revealing the answer, Virat Kohli chose his memorable 82-run knock in the quarter-final to seal a 6-wicket win against Australia. It put the Indian team in the semi-final. Time and Time again, Kohli recalled the knock via his social media posts.

“Apart from the 2011 finals, my other favourite match from the atmosphere and importance of the game point of view would be the 2016 T20 quarter-finals against Australia in Mohali,” Kohli said on Star Sports Show ‘Cricket Connected’.

Currently, Virat Kohli is spending his lockdown with his wife Anushka Sharma in his farmhouse. On the work front, he is looking forward to playing Indian Premier League for Royal Challengers Bangalore. Later, he will be in operation for India in the World Cup and the Test series against Austalia in Australia.

Recently, he also expressed his opinion of playing cricket behind the doors.  Kohli felt that a few magic moments will be missed but he is open to playing in the empty stadiums.
