Virat Kohli has taken a break from cricket currently. He has been rested for the ongoing five-match T20I series between India and South Africa. Virat Kohli would return back to international cricket in July. He has been selected for the test match against England.
Currently, Virat is spending holidays in the Maldives with his wife Anushka Sharma. It’s a must-need break for Virat Kohli after the continuous cricket he has played. This break would help Virat mentally charge himself. Several former cricketers too adviced Virat to take a small break from cricket.
Virat Kohli shared a picture of him sitting at the beach. In the picture, Virat is shirtless and has worn trousers. The post has gone viral on social media in a quick time. Virat Kohli enjoys a massive fan following on social media. He recently reached the 200 Million followers landmark on Instagram.

Virat Kohli had a poor 2022 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). He managed to score just 341 runs in 16 innings. Virat had an average of 22.7 and strike rate of 116 in IPL 2022. He scored just 2 fifties in IPL 2022. Former RCB skipper also failed to step up in the knockouts of 2022 season of the Indian Premier League.
“My drive will never die down” : Virat Kohli on his passion for cricket
Several cricket fans also pointed out that Virat has lost his passion and hunger to play cricket. However Virat believes that he still has the same passion to win games. Virat in an interview said , “Not to say that I don’t have the same drive, my drive will never die down. The day my drive goes away, I’ll not be playing this game.”
Virat Kohli was also disappointed with the fact that he let down his team in his bad phase. ” So, this has not been about myself, this is about the fact that I have not contributed to my team’s cause as much as I would have wanted to or I pride myself to, and that is something that always disappoints me, not what I do as an individual,” he added.
