Indian skipper Virat Kohli has just surpassed Australian Test specialist Steve Smith to top the ICC Test batsman rankings. With 928 points, Kohli topped the list. However, the difference between the two spots is just a smaller margin of five points.

Kohli is now ranked at the top of both the ODI and Test rankings. Though he has always dominated the limited-overs, a see-saw battle existed between him and Smith in Tests.

A lot of changes were seen in the latest rankings. David Warner jumped 19 places to grab the fifth spot. His record-breaking two-match series paved the way to continue his home form in Tests. It is worth noting that he was highly criticized for his poor outing at the Ashes.

Currently, three Indians are in the top 10 spots including the skipper, Rahane and Pujara. Opener Mayank Agarwal who has had a wonderful outing since his debut is at 12th spot.

Marnus Labuschagne and his golden run
