Ace Indian batter Virat Kohli’s sister, Bhawna Kohli Dhingra, shared a heartfelt message as the cricketing icon notched his 53rd ODI century. Kohli reached this milestone during the second ODI of the three-match series against South Africa on Wednesday, December 3, at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium in Raipur.
Batting at No. 3, the Delhi-born star looked in brilliant form, starting his innings with a six off Lungi Ngidi. The 37-year-old reached his fifty in 47 balls and went on to complete his century in 90 deliveries. He ended with a commanding 102 off 93 balls, including seven fours and two sixes.
In response to Kohli’s stellar innings, his sister Bhawna took to Instagram, sharing a story to celebrate her brother’s remarkable performance.

This was Kohli’s second back-to-back century in ODIs, following his outstanding 135 off 120 balls in the series opener, where he also earned the Player of the Match award.
Kohli and Gaikwad’s Centuries Propel India To Strong Position In 2nd ODI
Sent in to bat, India’s openers Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal added 40 runs before Rohit was dismissed for 14 off eight balls in the fifth over. Jaiswal soon followed, scoring 22 off 38 balls, which included two fours and a six off Marco Jansen. Virat Kohli and Ruturaj Gaikwad then took control, sharing an impressive 195-run partnership for the third wicket off 156 balls.
Gaikwad notched his maiden ODI century with 105 off 83 deliveries, while Kohli reached his 53rd ODI hundred, finishing with a composed 102 off 93 balls. At the latest update, India stood at 317/5 in 45 overs, with captain KL Rahul unbeaten on 43 and Ravindra Jadeja on nine at the crease.
