Brad Currie’s effort was called “one of the greatest catches ever” by Dinesh Karthik. “
In his team’s T20 Blast match against Hampshire Hawks on Friday at The Hove, Sussex’s Brad Currie made one of the greatest catches in history, which has gone viral online. The incident took place during Hampshire’s second-to-last lap.
Benny Howell of Hampshire attempted to pull Tymal Mills for a six over midwicket with 23 runs needed off of 11 balls. While flying in from deep square to grab the ball in midair, Currie had other plans. Everyone was in utter disbelief after his attempt, including the commentator.
Dinesh Karthik, the wicketkeeper batsman for India, referred to Currie’s catch as “one of the greatest catches ever.”
One of the best catches ever, in my opinion. Before diving, he travels a short distance, . Dot phew.
While Ben Stokes, the captain of England, retorted by calling the other team “filth“
Sussex Sharks defeated Hampshire Hawks at Hove to earn just their third T20 Blast victory of the year, and Oli Carter and Currie were the heroes.
In only his sixth game in the format, Carter took advantage of his chance to bat at No. 1 by smashing 64 off just 33 balls. 6 fours and 4 sixes from the number 3.
Early on in the innings, Currie, a 24-year-old left-arm pacer, caused major damage by taking three wickets and eventually reducing Hampshire to 24/4.
In recognition of his efforts, he was named “Man of the Match.”
