“Voice Of Cricket” Meets “Voice Of Football” – An Interaction Between Harsha Bhogle and Peter Drury Goes Viral

Peter Drury recently revealed that Harsha Bhogle is his idol and that he will be meeting him soon in London during last week’s Europa League Final.

At the World Test Championship (WTC) Final between India and Australia, “voice of cricket” Harsha Bhogle and “voice of football” Peter Drury recently met up.

Both Bhogle and Drury have captivated listeners and viewers for years with their poetic voices.

Drury’s poetic voice is widely regarded as one of the best in the football world and, by some accounts, the best in the commentary business, much like how Bhogle’s insightful commentary on the India vs. Pakistan rivalry in cricket is insufficient without it.

Drury recently disclosed that Bhogle is his idol and that he will be meeting him soon in London during last week’s Europa League Final.

Last but not least, the meeting was held at The Oval while the WTC Final was still going on. A few images of their interaction have since gone viral on social media.

“Peter Drury is such a kind and competent man. Bhogle captioned a picture of Drury with the phrase, “Delighted to talk to him about his craft.

Australia has had a firm grip on the current World Team Championship final, making it a one-sided contest thus far.

Travis Head and Steve Smith each scored 163 and 121 runs to help Australia, who had been given the opportunity to bat first, post a massive 469.

India’s top order collapsed in response on Day 2 of the match. At stumps, they were 318 runs behind Australia and were at 151/5.

After giving up a 173 run lead after the first innings, the Rohit Sharma-led team was eventually bowled out for 296 runs.

The only significant men’s cricket trophy that Australia has not yet captured is the WTC.

India is competing in their second World Tennis Championship final after falling to New Zealand in the opening game in Southampton in 2021.
