Former India skipper MS Dhoni is arguably the greatest modern-day cricketer. His legacy will forever remain in the golden books of Indian cricketing history. The manner in which he conducts himself both on and off the field is a learning curve for every youngster. Recently, Pakistan skipper Waqar Younis showered heaps of praise on Dhoni.

The wicket-keeper batsman has had a career full of highs. Ever since his international debut, Dhoni has taken Indian cricket forward. He is the only skipper in the history of the game to win three ICC titles. Despite achieving loads of success, MS Dhoni has been the same person throughout.

MS Dhoni is a nice human being – Waqar Younis

Recently, Waqar Younis showered of praise on MS Dhoni for how he led the side and understood match situations. The former Pakistan skipper also lauded for being a nice human being despite all the success he has achieved.

“What a cricketer MS Dhoni is. The way he led the team, it is difficult to express it in words. He is a very good and big leader who understands things. He is a wonderful human being, and coming from a small village, the heights he has achieved, plus leading such a big country and team, is indeed praiseworthy,” Waqar said to GloFans Twitter platform during ‘Q20’. 

Meanwhile, the team has witnessed a nice transition from MS Dhoni to Virat Kohli. Waqar Younis said Dhoni has led India to greater heights and the team will do better under the leadership of Kohli.

“He has set a bar of fitness worldwide, for players; I think it is hard to beat. I think for that reason also, you like everything about Virat Kohli. He is fit, he is always in your face, he wants to prove you that he is the best, he is a fighter, so that is why we all like him,” he added. 

Meanwhile, any kind of appreciation falls short for MS Dhoni. Currently, speculations on his retirement are on an all-time high. He last played in World Cup last year and since then, has been on a sabbatical.
