Former India opener Wasim Jaffer has shown us in recent times that apart from a prolific run-scorer, he is also great with memes on the internet. As we witnessed throughout the IPL, how Jaffer would find a meme for every situation. This time as well Jaffer came up with a meme during the ongoing ODI between India and Australia.
In the ongoing ODI between India and Australia, Glenn Maxwell walked in at 5 when Australia were nicely poised at 271/3 in 40 overs but the real damage was to be done by Maxwell as he took on the charge to Yuzvendra Chahal with a couple of reverse sweeps over point for consecutive boundaries. The carnage went on for a further 19 deliveries as Maxwell put up a quickfire knock of 45 runs which included three mighty sixes.

Wasim Jaffer posted the meme of the Pakistan fan who became a sensation during the 2019 World Cup in England as this time the meme was used in relation to Glenn Maxwell’s sensational performance post a horrendous IPL with the Kings XI Punjab.
Playing in the 2020 IPL, Maxwell played 13 matches for the KXIP franchise and merely scored 108 runs without hitting a single six in the entire tournament.
Maxwell’s performance prompted Kings XI Punjab’s batting coach Wasim Jaffer to sniff in another meme on Twitter as he’s been doing since a long while as he posted the meme of a disappointed Pakistani fan. This lead to further more memes being posted as even other’s decided to contribute with memes comparing Maxwell’s performance for KXIP and the Australian national side.
