[WATCH]- Aamer Jamal Stuns With A Superb Delivery, Dismissing Alex Carey On The Second Day Of The 1st Test Against Australia

Aamer Jamal, making his debut for Pakistan, took the first wicket on Day 2 of the Perth Test against Australia by dismissing Alex Carey with an excellent delivery. The right-arm seamer disturbed Carey’s off-stump, ending his threatening partnership with Mitchell Marsh.

Aamer Jamal claimed the wicket in the final delivery of the 97th over, opting for an over-the-wicket angle. He directed the ball towards the off-stump, where it subtly moved off the seam, eluding Carey’s defense and dislodging the bails.

Pakistan sought a breakthrough desperately as both Carey and Marsh were scoring freely. The dismissal put an end to their 90-run partnership, providing the visitors with a crucial breakthrough.

Australia finished Day 1 at 346-5, led by David Warner’s impressive 164, while Usman Khawaja, Steve Smith, and Travis Head made valuable contributions. Pakistan remained without a wicket in the initial session and faced additional challenges with a couple of dropped catches.

Aamer Jamal claimed his maiden Test wicket by dismissing David Warner

Aamer Jamal, in his Test debut, along with Khurram Shahzad, found success on Day 1 by dismissing David Warner, who mistimed a hook shot caught by Imam-ul-Haq at deep backward square. Jamal also removed Travis Head, who holed out to the third-man fielder while attempting a cut shot.

Following the dismissal of Alex Carey, the Mianwali-born pacer also secured the wicket of Mitchell Starc, marking his fourth wicket and standing out as the standout performer among the Pakistan bowlers.

As Australia builds a strong innings, the response from Pakistan, captained by the new Test skipper Shan Masood, will be intriguing. Additionally, this marks the Men in Green’s debut game at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
