Kolkata Knight Riders posted a video of Andre Russell vibing to a Bollywood song on the occasion of Fête de la Musique, aka. World Music Day. The KKR staff can be seen enjoying and cheering in the background, with one of them even jumping in to join Russell.
World Music Day is an idea to promote music in the world by getting amateurs and professionals to play music on the streets. Even free concerts are organized in order to make all kinds of genres available to the public. One condition is that no fees will be charged to attend the concert and every musician must play free of charge.
On this special occasion, KKR shared a video in which Russell is seen singing the song ‘Subah Hone Na De’, a famous party song from the movie ‘Desi Boyz’.

West Indians are typically known for their aggressiveness on the field and their carefree chilled attitude off it. Sometimes even on the field, they’re known to break into a jig as a celebration after getting a wicket. Dwayne Bravo is one famous example of it as we’ve seen it multiple times in the IPL before.
Second Phase of IPL to start in September; KKR need to buck up
After the first phase in India was postponed due to the rise in corona cases, BCCI announced that the second phase will be held in a window before the 2021 T20 World Cup. KKR, who had a terrible IPL 2021 so far with just 2 wins in 7 games, are languishing at seventh place on the table.
Although they have had good individual performances, they haven’t been able to click as a unit. Their miracle man Andre Russell will have to step up along with Dinesh Karthik, who’s likely to become the captain if Eoin Morgan cannot attend the IPL.
