Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and her cricketer husband Virat Kohli recently paid a visit to Premanand Govind Sharan Maharaj, accompanied by their children, Vamika and Akaay. A video shared on social media showed the couple greeting the Maharaj with folded hands, sitting on the floor while attentively listening to his teachings.

In her conversation with the Maharaj, Anushka shared that she regularly attends his spiritual gatherings. She stated:

“Pichli baar jab hum aaye the toh mann mein kuch sawaal the, mujhe laga ke poochungi lekin jo bhi baitha tha wahan pe unn sabne kuch na kuch vaisa sawaal kar liya tha. Jab aapke pass aane ke hum baat kar rahe the, main man hi man aapse baat kar rahe the, jo bhi sawaal mere aa rahe the,” she said.

Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli first crossed paths in 2013 during the shoot of a television commercial. They developed a romantic relationship but kept it private. In 2017, they married in a small, intimate ceremony in Italy.

The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter named Vamika, in January 2021. Then, in February of this year, they became parents again with the arrival of a baby boy.

Virat Kohli’s Australia Tour

On his fifth visit to Australia, Virat Kohli carried high expectations, but the 36-year-old concluded the tour with a modest 190 runs across nine innings, averaging just 23.75. The series started positively for Kohli, as he reached a significant milestone by becoming the batter with the most Test centuries in Australia, scoring his seventh ton during the Perth Test.

However, his form declined in the latter part of the series, with only 85 runs in the final four Tests, which India lost 1-3. Kohli also made headlines for his on-field behavior, including a shoulder bump with Sam Konstas, which led to an ICC sanction.

He further stirred controversy by attempting to provoke the Australian crowd with a sandpaper gesture. Following the tour, several former players criticized Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. There have been calls for the Indian stars to return to the Ranji Trophy to improve their red-ball performances.
