The opener brought up a well-crafted half-century, scoring 62 off 36 deliveries, including seven fours and three sixes. His aggressive innings came to an end in the 13th over when Arshdeep Singh delivered a short, wide slower ball.

Tim Seifert started the game in explosive fashion. He launched New Zealand’s innings by striking a hat-trick of fours off Arshdeep Singh in the very first over. On the third delivery, Seifert rode his luck as a top edge sailed over short third man for a boundary, before he followed it up with a firm four straight down the ground.

Another top edge resulted in a boundary, allowing Seifert to collect three consecutive fours off the Indian seamer. Despite the early onslaught, Arshdeep had the final say, getting Seifert’s wicket during his second spell.

In the series so far, Seifert has scored 98 runs in three innings at an impressive strike rate of 163.33. India have already sealed the series, taking an unassailable 3-0 lead.
