[WATCH] Arshdeep Singh Outfoxes Tim Seifert With Slower Ball In IND vs NZ 4th T20I

India pacer Arshdeep Singh handed his team a crucial breakthrough by removing the in-form Tim Seifert in the ongoing fourth T20I against New Zealand. After winning the toss, the Men in Blue opted to bowl first. Seifert played a key role in giving the Black Caps a strong start.

The opener brought up a well-crafted half-century, scoring 62 off 36 deliveries, including seven fours and three sixes. His aggressive innings came to an end in the 13th over when Arshdeep Singh delivered a short, wide slower ball.

Attempting a big shot straight down the ground, Seifert failed to clear the ropes and was safely caught by Rinku Singh at long-off. Arshdeep’s clever use of the slower ball worked perfectly for India, dismissing Seifert at a vital moment in the game. You can watch the video here:

Significantly, Kuldeep Yadav removed the dangerous Glenn Phillips for 24 off 16 balls in the following over. At the time of writing, New Zealand were 139/4 after 14 overs.

Tim Seifert Punishes Arshdeep Singh With Hat-Trick Of Fours In IND vs NZ 4th T20I

Tim Seifert started the game in explosive fashion. He launched New Zealand’s innings by striking a hat-trick of fours off Arshdeep Singh in the very first over. On the third delivery, Seifert rode his luck as a top edge sailed over short third man for a boundary, before he followed it up with a firm four straight down the ground.

Another top edge resulted in a boundary, allowing Seifert to collect three consecutive fours off the Indian seamer. Despite the early onslaught, Arshdeep had the final say, getting Seifert’s wicket during his second spell.

In the series so far, Seifert has scored 98 runs in three innings at an impressive strike rate of 163.33. India have already sealed the series, taking an unassailable 3-0 lead.
