Team India fast bowler Bhuvneshwar Kumar has provided the host with a perfect start removing the dangerous-looking Jason Roy in the first over of the run chase in the 3rd ODI at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune. Meanwhile, batting first, the Men in Blues have posted 329 runs thanks to a brilliant partnership between Hardik Pandya and Rishabh Pant.
Chasing another 300+ score, England were eyeing another swashbuckling start from Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow. Roy hit the run chase brilliantly with three boundaries in the first over before Bhuvneshwar Kumar bounced back with a brilliant in-coming delivery to draw the first blood.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar sends back Jason Roy early
It was the inswinger and Jason Roy’s feet were frozen at the crease. He pushed forward with his hands and the ball found its way through the massive gate between bat and pad and went on to clip the top of off-stump. Bhuvneshwar Kumar exults in delight and gives a fiery send-off to the English batter.

Earlier in the day, the Indian openers were off to a fiery start, raised the 100 of the team in just the 14th over, but Adil Rashid brought his team back into the contest, with the wickets of the two openers. Virat Kohli and KL Rahul failed to get a start and at 157 for 4, things looked grim. Rishabh Pant and Hardik Pandya though had other ideas, they not only stitched a 99-run stand for the 5th wicket but did so in double-quick time.
But both fell when well-set, Krunal Pandya struggled for timing, Shardul Thakur managed a quickfire cameo, and then India lost 4 for 8 towards the end. So, in an effort to make a huge score, India have finished at 329 runs.
