[WATCH]- Bumrah’s Stunning Delivery Cleans Up Crawley On Day 2 Of 1st ENGvIND Test

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah removed England opener Zak Crawley for just four runs on Day 2 of the first Test in Leeds on Saturday, June 21. Bumrah delivered a near-perfect ball that pitched on middle and leg, then straightened sharply to beat the batter’s defence and find the edge.

Karun Nair took a sharp low catch at first slip to complete the dismissal in the opening over of England’s innings under overcast skies. It gave India a perfect start with the ball after being bowled out for 471 shortly after lunch in their first innings.

Jasprit Bumrah has now dismissed Zak Crawley for the fifth time in 14 Test innings. The start of England’s innings was delayed by nearly an hour due to continuous rain at Headingley. Under overcast skies, India began their bowling effort, and Bumrah struck immediately in the very first over, giving India an early breakthrough in Leeds.

England Trigger Collapse As India Lose 7 For 41, All Out For 471 In First Innings

Earlier in the post-lunch session, a quick three-wicket spell from pacer Josh Tongue wrapped up India’s first innings at 471. The visitors suffered a dramatic collapse, losing their final seven wickets for just 41 runs, allowing England to claw their way back into the contest. Both Tongue and captain Ben Stokes claimed four wickets each for the hosts.

Shubman Gill top-scored with a brilliant 147, while Rishabh Pant added 134 and Yashasvi Jaiswal chipped in with a century of his own, scoring 101. However, India also had three batters—Sai Sudharsan, Karun Nair, and Jasprit Bumrah—dismissed without scoring. At the latest update, England were 39/1 after six overs, with Ben Duckett and Ollie Pope at the crease.
