South African pacer Corbin Bosch provided his team with a crucial breakthrough by dismissing Abhishek Sharma during the fifth T20I against India in Ahmedabad. Bosch induced a glove edge from the left-handed batter, and after a half appeal, the umpire raised his finger. The wicket fell in the final over of the powerplay, which was Bosch’s first.
Abhishek had hit the third ball of the over for a towering six and then attempted to guide a bouncer to the leg side on the next delivery. Despite only a half appeal from Bosch and keeper Quinton de Kock, the umpire gave him out. Abhishek departed for 34 runs off 21 balls, with the ultra-edge confirming a spike as the ball passed near his glove.
The young batter, however, appeared displeased with the decision. You can watch the video here:

The Proteas found relief by ending the explosive 63-run partnership between Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson. Abhishek, in particular, had taken Marco Jansen to task in the second over, smashing three boundaries in a row.
George Linde Follows Up As Corbin Bosch Claims First Wicket For South Africa
As of now, Team India had also lost Sanju Samson for 37, bowled by left-arm spinner George Linde. Earlier, South Africa’s captain Aiden Markram had opted to field first, but Suryakumar Yadav expressed satisfaction with the choice, noting that he didn’t anticipate much dew.
India made three changes to their playing XI, bringing in Samson, Jasprit Bumrah, and Kuldeep Yadav in place of Shubman Gill, Harshit Rana, and Washington Sundar. South Africa, on the other hand, made just one adjustment, with Linde coming in for fast bowler Anrich Nortje. India currently lead the series 2-1, having won in Cuttack and Dharamsala, while South Africa claimed victory in Mullanpur.
Under Suryakumar Yadav’s leadership, India have yet to lose a T20I series and will aim to maintain that record, especially with the World Cup approaching.
