Meanwhile, Iyer is leading the Delhi Capitals against Sunrisers Hyderabad in the second qualifier in Abu Dhabi. The winner of this game will face Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2020 final on November 10. If Delhi, manages to win the game, they will play their first-ever IPL final.
Delhi Capitals won the toss in this knockout game and has opted to bat first. SRH have beaten Delhi in both the games in the league stage. Batting first, they have set up a target of 190 runs thanks to a brilliant start from Marcus Stoinis and Shikhar Dhawan.
Dhawan contributed with 78 runs but it was the late cameo from Shimron Hetmyer that powered Delhi Capitals to 189. The West Indian played his best knock of IPL 2020 when his team needed the most chipping in 22-ball 44 right at the time when Sunrisers Hyderabad were looking to pull the brakes.
It will now require a massive effort with the bat from Hyderabad to chase down the total and set up a finale clash with Mumbai Indians on November 10.
