[WATCH] Debutant Praful Hinge Removes Vaibhav Suryavanshi , Dhruv Jurel, Lhuan- dre Pretorius For Ducks In SRH vs RR Clash

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) debutant Praful Hinge had an amazing start to his IPL career. He dismissed Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius without them scoring any runs in the match against Rajasthan Royals (RR).

The right-arm fast bowler took three wickets in his very first over, leaving RR struggling at 1 for 3 while chasing at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on April 13. Hinge was given the new ball as SRH defended a big total of 217.

After giving away just one run on the first ball, he bowled a sharp bouncer to Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The young batter tried to play a pull shot but mistimed it, and wicketkeeper Salil Arora took an easy catch. A few balls later, Dhruv Jurel accidentally hit the ball onto his own stumps and got out for zero, putting RR under early pressure.

Things got worse when Lhuan-dre Pretorius tried to flick a ball to score but ended up hitting it straight to Nitish Kumar Reddy at deep square leg, getting out for a duck as well. It was truly a dream start for Praful Hinge in the IPL.

This was the first time in IPL history that a bowler took three wickets in the very first over of an innings. Praful Hinge, who plays for Vidarbha, had been part of the Indian domestic season before entering IPL 2026. Earlier this year, he had faced Dhruv Jurel in the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025-26, but he didn’t manage to take his wicket in that match.

Praful Hinge removes Riyan Parag as RR collapse to 9/5 vs SRH

Praful Hinge’s dream start didn’t stop there, as he took another wicket in his second over too. After fellow debutant Sakib Hussain dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal in his first IPL over, Hinge picked up his fourth wicket.

RR captain Riyan Parag tried to play a big shot on the off side but only managed to edge it to the slip fielder. After bowling two overs, Hinge had incredible figures of 4 wickets for just 6 runs, with RR struggling badly at 9 for 5 after three overs.
