[Watch] Debutant Rajat Patidar Gets Dismissed In Unfortunate Manner

Team India’s debutant Rajat Patidar was dismissed in an unfortunate manner during the second Test against England on Friday, February 2 at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. During his innings, he looked in good touch for the team at the crease.

Rajat Patidar became the 310th player to play Test cricket for India. Former India pacer Zaheer Khan handed him the cap. The right-handed batter replaced the injured KL Rahul in the team. He walked out to bat at number five for India after the dismissal of Shreyas Iyer.

Patidar got together with Yashasvi Jaiswal who was going great guns. The duo added 70 runs for the fourth wicket before the debutant was dismissed. The incident took place in the seventy-second over. Rehan Ahmed bowled a fuller delivery on the off-stump. Patidar tried to defend the ball. However, it hit him on the glove, bounced off the ground and was going towards the stump. Patidar tried to protect it but ended up kicking it onto the stumps. He managed 32 runs on debut with four boundaries.
