Team India’s wicket-keeper batter Dinesh Karthik showcased his wicket-keeping brilliance to dismiss Temba Bavuma during the 2022 T20 World Cup match against South Africa on Sunday, October 30 at Perth Stadium. South Africa was pushed on the backfoot with the skipper’s wicket, reeling at 24/3.

Chasing 134 runs, South Africa lost Quinton De Kock and Rilee Rossouw in quick succession, with Arshdeep Singh exhibiting his bowling class. Skipper Temba Bavuma too couldn’t do much and was dismissed for just 10 runs off 15 deliveries by Mohammed Shami, during the powerplay.

The Indian pacer bowled a length delivery, which Bavuma tried to improvise by moving across the crease. However, the ball took the under-edge of the bat and went toward the left of Dinest Karthik. The wicket-keeper batter dived across and took the catch just inches above the ground.
